Not a very popular genus which is a pity. These plant live in Peru and we do not grow many plants from there. Not too big, some with dense spination and almost without it, they share the same flower type, the zygomorphic flowers (bilaterally, not radially, symmetrical). They are easy. Care like with Lobivia only with less light is beneficial. Some say that they should be kept warm in winter (above 12°C) otherwise they loose their roots. I have not noticed such behaviour and overwinter them in 5–12°C. |
