Columnar South American cacti of beautiful white wool and very sharp colourful spines partially hidden in the wool. Flowers zygomorphic (like Matucana’s), dark red or purple, after many years of cultivation. With flowers or not, really magnificent. Some reach one meter tallness, other even three meters. Present all over the Andes, always in high altitudes. Growing rules exactly like in case of Mediolobivia.
